Are you stuck in your abilities?
I recently read an article from Diana Ennen, a top-echelon virtual assistant, where she speaks about just that.
Diana says: ” It’s important for your business to decide what areas you are exceptionally good at and do more with that. “
I agree wholeheartedly, with just a few comments to add.
- Don’t lock yourself into just one niche. Keep your mind open to all kinds of new technology.
- The internet and all that is associated with it is consistently changing. Change with it.
- Find multi-niche markets. Social media doesn’t just mean Facebook, there are so many other aspects of social media. Amazon or Goodreads for authors or SoundCloud for musicians.
- Go with the flow. If I were still doing what I started out doing 10+ years ago, well, I wouldn’t be in business.
- Set goals. Every year I set a goal for myself in my business. This year I want to learn more coding so I can start to build WordPress websites. Last year, it was to offering a webinar series for authors. I am working on the goal for this year and I did attain the goal I set of myself last year!
So, make a list and do it in pencil as you will need to erase some of those items as you grow in your business.
